Are Skeie Hermansen

Are Skeie Hermansen is Professor of Sociology at the University of Oslo and a Senior Researcher at the Swedish Institute for Social Research at Stockholm University. His research interests include social stratification and mobility, immigrant integration, and comparative studies of labor market inequality. His current ERC-funded research investigates how employers, organizational mechanisms, and segregation processes shape ethnic stratification across immigrant generations. Hermansen’s work has appeared in leading journals such as the European Sociological Review, Industrial and Labor Relations Review, Demography, Social Forces, American Journal of Sociology, Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, and Nature.
