Frank van Tubergen is full Professor of Sociology at Utrecht University and the Netherlands Interdisciplinary Demographic Institute (NIDI). His research interests include immigration and integration, social networks, and religion. He co-coordinated the Children of Immigrants Longitudinal Study in Four European Countries (CILS4EU). Van Tubergen’s research has been published in leading journals such as American Sociological Review, European Sociological Review, American Journal of Sociology, and Demography. He is the author of “Introduction to Sociology” (Routledge, 2020). His research has been supported by grants from the Dutch National Science Foundation (Veni, Vidi, Gravitation), the European Commission (Norface, Horizon2020), Utrecht University, and the Dutch Ministry of Social Affairs and Employment. His papers won awards from the Royal Netherlands Academy of Arts and Sciences (Ammodo KNAW award), the German Sociological Association, IPUMS, the Dutch Sociological Association, and the Royal Holland Society of Sciences and Humanities.
