Mirna Safi is Associate Professor of Sociology at Sciences Po. She is currently head of the Observatoire Sociologique du Changement and member of the LIEPP. Her research focuses on migration, ethnoracial relations, discrimination, segregation and social inequality. She has published in leading journals such as the American Sociological Review, the European Sociological Review, Social Science Research, International Migration Review among others. Her forthcoming book, Migration and Inequality (Polity Press) offers a fresh perspective on how migration is embedded in the elementary mechanisms shaping social inequality. Her current projects focus on measures and mechanisms of discrimination in the labor market.
