Katrin Auspurg is Professor of Sociology with a focus on quantitative methods at the Department of Sociology at LMU Munich. She earned a Ph.D. in Sociology from the University of Konstanz (2010). Previously, she was Professor of Sociology at the Goethe University in Frankfurt. From 2020 to 2023, she is Research Fellow at the German Institute for Economic Research (DIW Berlin); in 2019, she was Paul Lazersfeld Guest Professor for Methods of Empirical Research at the University of Vienna. Her main research interests are in survey and experimental research methods, inequalities within labour markets and families, environmental social sciences, attitudes toward immigration, and causes and consequences of discrimination. She is also committed to studying and improving the replicability of social science research. In the field of multifactorial survey experiments, she has authored an international textbook and several articles on methodological and substantive issues. Recent work has appeared in leading international journals such as the American Sociological Review and the European Sociological Review.
